Tours

What is a vortex tour?
For our vortex tour, we like to share a little “brain candy” learning more about the influence of the scientific phenomena of the vortex energy. Rather than just telling you about it, we like to give you the opportunity to feel and experience it for yourself by helping to lower the brainwaves into a conducive healing/feeling state. We do this in a variety of ways by working with the senses and incorporating different modalities such as sound and energy healing, guided movement or meditation.
Does each tour visit a vortex?

The short answer is yes. The long answer your facilitator can elaborate in more detail. For our specifically healing focused tours, your guide may recommend a lesser known vortex site which will offer a little more potential for privacy than the more commonly known vortex sites.

What is involved in the tour?
Because we don’t offer “cookie cutter” tours, each tour is unique and personalized for you/and your group. Your guide will intuitively customize the experience for what is arising in the space at the time and any desires you have shared prior.
Which tour should I book?
No worries about choosing “the right” tour or having a group consensus for selecting the desired tour for everyone in your party. What is most important are the desires and intentions you share upon booking so we can pair you with a facilitator who will be the best fit for the experience you are seeking.
What can I expect from the experience?

Any expectations you come with may be different from what you anticipate of the experience. It is best to approach it with an open mind. We’re not here to heal you, but help provide support on your healing journey. What you put into the experience, you will get out of it.  It’s our goal and desire to have you leave the experience with something more than you came with — such as “tools” to “take home” with you, deeper insights, knowledge, and an overall quality of peace beyond our time together. We can’t promise anything but have seen big shifts for people in short periods of time after our time together for those who are open, willing, and ready.

Is this a hike?

Our main emphasis is more so for the healing experience and connecting into the influence of the vortex energy and less of a “hike”, however there is some walking involved to get to the location. The hike/walk can be anywhere from a couple hundred yards to a couple of miles. While there are some locations we can visit with minimal walking, there may be some hiking involved to get to the destination. Depending on your interests and desires, your guide will create a customized experience for you and/or your group needs and desires.

Do I need to be physically fit for the tour?

Each tour is tailored to your individual needs and we can accommodate most physical abilities and any limitations. We work with people of all abilities, ages, and fitness levels. Please notify us of any physical limitations and health concerns and we are more than happy to accommodate.

Are any of the vortex sites accessible by wheelchair or a walker?
There are some flat gravel paths that can be accessed with either a wheelchair or a walker that have good tires for the outdoors. There are a couple of areas that have wheel-chair accessible paths that are paved, but unmaintained with some cracks and gravel in some areas. In your booking, please be sure to mention any if you need a handicap accessible path.
Which tour should I choose?

For our Healing & Empowerment Tours, those give more emphasis to the experience whereas the Vortex Tour is more so in learning, experiencing, and connecting with the vortex energy.

If wanting to do a combination of the tours — that is possible with our 3-hr. tour. However, for the 2-tour it is intended to be within the focus of the specific tour.

What’s the difference between the tours?
*Our “Vortex Tour” is an excellent option for those new to Sedona or wanting to learn about and experience the vortex energy. Our “Vortex Healing Tour” is intended for those coming to Sedona with a desire to live your optimal life while receiving a little more attention targeted to healing. Our “Empowering Vortex Tour” is a nice choice for those going through a life transition and all who are being called to share their gifts. Our “Medicine Wheel Journey” is great for those wanting to experience a deeper connection to one’s self and Gaia, the Mother Earth. We also offer yoga tours.
What’s the difference between the Vortex Tour and the Healing Vortex Tour?

The main difference is the Healing Vortex Tour focuses solely on healing — working specifically with your intentions and desires. If you are going through any transition, needing some support, wanting a break from work/home life and an opportunity to reset and relax, or to gain more clarity — the healing tour is a good option.

While we do incorporate healing aspects within our Vortex Tour, that is not the main emphasis as the vortex tour is intended more so in becoming aware of and connecting to the subtle energies within and of the land. This is a great option for people who are new to Sedona.

If you would like to do a combination of healing while learning more about and connecting into the influence of the vortex energy, we would recommend a 3-hr. tour.

What’s the difference between the Empowerment and the Healing Vortex Tour?
The Empowerment Tour incorporates more active practices in which you are actively involved in the process, it may incorporate some healing or intuitive insights. You will leave with a greater awareness or tools to “take-home” with you to help you stand in your power and potential.

The Healing Vortex Tour is typically more of a passive practice in which your facilitator offers healing practices such as sound or energy healing that you receive. If you have never done any energy work practices before, it can involve a process of letting in or letting go to bring yourself (mind/body/spirit) into harmony and balance.

How long is the tour?
Our tours are either 2 or 3 hours in length.
We also have our Full-Day Vortex Package that is 5 hrs. total with a break for lunch.
What’s the difference between the 2 or 3 Hr. tour?

Our 2 hour tour is a great introduction to Sedona while connecting to the vortex energy and for those who are on more of a budget; While the 3 hour tour provides more time and opportunity to either dive deeper into the experience, visit more than 1 vortex site, or travel to an area to get further away from the crowds.

What is the best time of year and time of day to book a tour in Sedona?
This can depend on your preference. If you want to avoid the potential of crowds and traffic, consider coming in the winter months away from the holidays. If you are not a morning person or want to avoid the heat, consider the winter, early spring, or fall as summer temperatures make it not ideal to be outside from 10-4:00. Our monsoon season is typically from July – Sept. with historically higher potential of rains in the afternoon/early evening. Typically during monsoon season, there will be gaps in the weather for an opportunity to go out on the land during your visit in Sedona.

We suggest you book your tour at the beginning of your trip to Sedona and leave some wiggle room in your schedule for flexibility to rearrange if need be.

Can I change the time of the tour?
There may be some flexibility to slightly adjust the time of your tour depending on weather and availability. The set times are what’s typically best for that time of year. As the date of your tour approaches, we will have a better idea about the weather and it may be possible to slightly readjust the tour time accordingly.
Which Site/Vortex will we visit?
We have a large variety of sacred sites to choose from during our time together; each one having its own unique character and experience — many of which are not on the maps, so not to worry about duplicating sites during your time in Sedona. You can plan your schedule how you would like and we will work around your itinerary while offering a unique experience. Your facilitator will discuss possibilities with you prior to your experience and choose the best location for you/your group.
When will we know of our location?
Your facilitator will reach out 1-2 days prior to their tour to set a meeting location once we have a better understanding of the weather and what will be the best location for the experience based on any intentions or desires you share. Not to worry about repeating locations if you want to make other hiking plans and your facilitator will work around your itinerary.
How many vortex sites will we visit?
In general, we like to stick to one location so we can maximize the time on the land and less getting to/from sites to feel into the influence of the vortex energy. If the desire is to visit more than one vortex, we recommend the 3-hr tour (in which we can visit more than one location) or our 1 Day Vortex Package which includes a morning and afternoon/evening experience on the land.
Can we visit more than one vortex in the 2 hr. Tour?
While there are some locations that incorporate more than one vortex site, these are typically the more popular locations (such as Bell Rock and Courthouse). You can chat with your facilitator as we near the tour and you two can both determine what will be the best location/experience for what you are seeking.
Where do we meet?
We like to meet directly at the trailhead so we can maximize our time together. Prior to your tour, your facilitator will reach out and set the meeting location based on your desires and intentions as well as other variables such as weather and time of day/season to set the ideal location for you. If there are considerations you have such as dinner reservations or appointments on a particular side of town before or after your tour, please let us know.
Can I park a motorhome at the destination?

Yes. Though, not every site can accommodate this. Please let your facilitator know if you will be in a vehicle that is longer than 18’.

What Should I Bring?
We recommend bringing layers according to the weather, a reusable water bottle, camera, and a backpack if you have one to carry your items in. You may also want to consider light snacks, a pen and paper or journal as well as crystals or other items – to cleanse and charge on the vortex.
What Should I Wear?
Please wear shoes with good traction — tennis shoes work great. Please no flip-flops (hiking sandals with an ankle strap and a toe-guard is ideal). Don’t wear anything you don’t want colored in red dirt afterwards like brand new white tennis shoes or pastel yoga leggings. Wear something you would feel comfortable moving in and sitting down in.

The temperature and weather can change quickly in Sedona – dress in layers! We will have periods of movement and stillness; the body temperature naturally cools when it is in a relaxed state. Dress accordingly and check the weather to consider adding a warm layer.

If you are coming during the warmer months of April – Sept., consider dressing in lightweight and light colored clothing. Cotton is ideal for the desert environment. Local’s Tip: A long sleeve cotton top and long breathable pants can be a nice way to keep the sun off, which you can also dampen to cool off if you get hot easily.

Are kids allowed?

Absolutely! We love having the spirit of little ones join the experience. We often find they are able to tap into the influence of the vortex energy and embody the essence of the “upward” or “downward” flowing energy, sometimes more than adults! We enjoy engaging the participation of the younger ones by getting them involved in the process whether that be looking for crystals or playing with the sound healing instruments. For youth under 18, we provide a 50% discount and children under 5 are free.

Individual Healings & Readings

What’s the difference from the “Healing Sessions” vs. the “Healing Tour?”
While we do incorporate healing elements within our tours such as sound healing, energy work, or intuitive insights, we have the ability to “dive deeper” in an indoor healing space without the distraction of the elements or factors beyond our control.

The tours give the ability for group healings (occasionally there is some one-on-one time, but this is much shorter (5 min.). For individualized attention and focus, we recommend booking a separate individual healing session or reading.

What’s the difference from the Soundbath vs. “Healing Tour?
While we do incorporate sound healing as part of our tours, we are limited to what we can carry on our backs. The soundbath session involves a more elaborate and extensive setup that is done indoors which offers a fully immersive experience in the healing soundwave frequency.
What is a Soundbath/Sound Healing?
During the soundbath, you lay there while receiving the sound frequencies of a variety of different sound healing instruments such as gongs, crystal and tibetan singing bowls, drums, and other instruments. Each resonates with a particular tone and frequency corresponding to different energetic fields in your subtle layer body like the chakras or energy/auric field.

For example, if you chant: “OM” (“ahhh”… in heart “ooooo”… in throat… “mmm” or “ng” in third eye) you will feel the vibrations in the different areas.

If you look up cymatics, you’ll see how sound healing frequencies can create geometric patterns from sound vibration in water for example. Since our bodies are made of ¾ water, it’s thought that sound can help bring the body back in to balance and to “shake off” anything not serving you to feel more ease, peace, and relaxation.
